All in Poetry
I’ve had some luck with poems lately, and you’ll find new ones in the following three publications…
I’m pretty pumped that I‘ll have four poems included in a new anthology called This Is Poetry Volume 5: Poets of the Northeast later this year alongside some incredible writers (and friends!) including Bud Smith, Ally Malinenko, John Grochalski, Puma Perl, Cheryl A. Rice, Rebecca Schumejda, and many others.
My poem “Variations of Blue” now appears online in a three-poet issue (#31.6) of Trampoline, alongside the works of Naa Asheley Ashitey and Sally Huggins Toner. The poem is from a small collection I wrote in (and about) the rugged and beautiful island nation of Iceland that I’m putting together, so you may hear more about that soon. But this is a great representation of what that collection is aiming for, so I hope you enjoy. My thanks to editor Justin Lacour for including this piece in his excellent online journal.
My poem “Cherry Dip” now appears in Misfit Magazine, edited by the absolute legend Alan Catlin. The issue is chock full of great poets and friends and I’m delighted to have been included. The poem is about watching a drug bust go down in an otherwise idyllic village downtown in front of an ice cream stand and the weird juxtaposition of the moment. The poem will also appear in my upcoming book Nassau, with more details on that soon.
My poem "Acre" now appears in Tabula Rasa Review Issue 3, which you can view or download digitally at the link in the comments, or buy a print edition for just $14. The editors took a lot of care to revise this one with me a couple of times to really tighten it up. I appreciated the involved and invested process, so consider sending your work too! The poem also appears in my book Cistern Latitudes, and I have a few signed copies left of that one. Thanks for reading!
